About Saskatoon Sports Tourism

With our mission being “To coordinate and facilitate the economic and social growth of Saskatoon through Sports Tourism” Saskatoon Sports Tourism provides a variety of services to sporting groups and community organizations.

 Services provided by the organization include bid marketing and publicity assistance. As members of the Canadian Sports Tourism Alliance (CSTA) , Saskatoon Sports Tourism can provide further assistance with access to an event search engine and database, the Sports Tourism Economic Assessment Model (STEAM), and a business plan template.

 In addition to the economic benefits for direct service businesses, such as sports facilities, airports, service stations, eating establishments and hotels, by building sports tourism for Saskatoon there are numerous positive impacts on the city. These positive impacts include increased community spirit, the development of a highly skilled volunteer base, and increased positive exposure for Saskatoon.
